43 So the Lord gave
Israel all the land he had sworn to give their ancestors, and they took
possession of it and settled there. 44 The Lord gave them rest on
every side, just as he had sworn to their ancestors. Not one of their enemies withstood
them; the Lord gave all their enemies into their hands. 45 Not one of all the Lord’s good promises to
Israel failed; every one was fulfilled. – Joshua 21:43-45
God will always keep his promises. His timing
might not be aligned with ours, but in the end he will deliver with the
promises he has made.
This year has been a year filled with broken
hopes. After finishing my CCNA, I thought God will bless me with a job and
allow me to pursue a career that will ultimately glorify him. There have been
three hopeful opportunities, all of which have fell through. It has been
discourage to say the lease. This verse is a great reminder that I shouldn’t
worry about my future for God is there to deliver on his promises. Proverbs
3:5-6 comes into mind.. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on
your own understanding, but all your ways acknowledge Him and he will make your
path straight.” God is the source of my joy, whether I’m in need of a job, or
staying at my current job shouldn’t dictate how I feel about where my life is
leading. I should just be satisfied in Him.
Jesus help me to step deeper in the waters of my
faith. Thank you for allowing me not to be anxious about the near future of
having enough money to sustain both Jina and I. I know that in all things, you
will provide a way and a way out. Help me to depend on solely you. Help me to
trust that in your time the doors will open. Keep me from grumbling or being
discouraged, or even taking things to my own hands… Allow me just to trust and
acknowledge you.
In Jesus name Amen
