Be Persistent in Prayer

18 Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.
~Luke 18:1

There is power in prayer. In the parable of the widow, Jesus explains how the persistent woman continuous goes to an unjust judge to receive justice. Likewise, our prayers and our prayer life should be one of persistence pleading and supplicating to God for divine intervention.

Flat out.. I don't pray enough. I feel like my prayer life is lacking and I still do the bare minimum of prayer time just to get by. I know all around me there's so many lives that are affected by brokeness in their lives. Whether it be illnesses, broken relationships, or unsaved, none of these issues drives me to my knees to pray more fervently. I lack the intercessory prayer in which I offer my life to allow God to save those around me. There is no desperation... I need to commit myself to praying for the unsaved souls that are around me by name. I know I can't change the hearts of men, but I know God can.

Jesus forgive me for not being urgent in prayer. Holy spirit grant me more of a desire to cry out for your people. Help me to remember and pray for the sick around me. I pray God that you would also give me more of a desire to be persistent in praying for people's salvation. Change my heart God to that is crying out to you more daily.

In Jesus Name
Amen
