Change of Attitude

10 the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say: 11 “You are worthy, our Lord and God,
to receive glory and honor and power,
for you created all things,
and by your will they were created
    and have their being.”

Revelation 4:10-11

When we are finally raptured and go to heaven, our sole purpose for existence is to worship God for eternity. The crowns we acquired from the works we accomplished will be returned back to God as an offering. God does not need our worship to be sustained, nor is he lonely. He is God and we are nothing in his presence.

As I think about what we will be doing for eternity, the first thing that comes into mind is... Singing or worshiping God for eternity seems tiring. I'm sure our physical limitations will no longer be applicable in our new heavenly bodies, but my attitude towards worshiping God seems mundane. I'm ashamed of not having the joy I should be having for worshiping God. Man I am a 썩을놈... I have to reflect on the cross and what Christ has done for me in my wickedness. Without complain or thinking of my limitations I need to worship God will all my strength, heart, and soul.

Jesus forgive me for being selfish and unworthy of your gospel. I just find myself so repulsive to think that I don't want to worship you day and night. You deserve all my worship and the crowns that i receive on this earth. Everything I do should be out of the love for you. Help me Holy Spirit to love you more.

In Jesus Name
Amen.
